Using the Catalog

 To Search by Topic

The quickest way to search for a subject is by typing one or more keywords or a person’s name in the search box and clicking on Keyword. For additional results, click on a book that addresses your subject and look at the Subjects assigned to that book. Click on that Subject Heading to view additional titles.

  • Keywords are automatically separated with AND
  • Truncate: Use ? at the end of a word for variations in word endings (e.g. president? will search for president, presidents, presidential, etc.)
  • Search with an exact phrase: Use quotes (") to search for a phrase like "united states"

Always assume that we have books on your subject.  If you aren’t finding anything, ask for help.
