APA image citation

You have to cite images used in your papers and presentations with as much care as you cite articles and books!  Here's some examples of image citations to get you started:

Citing an image found online:

 In text citation example:   (Gottscho-Schleisner, 1965)

Format:

Photographer, F.M. (Photographer). (Year, Month Date of Publication). Title of Photograph [digital image]. Retrieved from URL

In text citation format: (Artist Surname, Year)

What if there is no photographer listed?

Title of work [Type of work]. (Year image was created).  Retrieved from URL (address of web site)
