Analyze Your Results. Look at your results and try some of the suggestions under what best describes what you see
A. No Results
Did you spell everything correctly? Correct and search again. Are you using the right database
B. Too Many Results
Your topic may be too broad. Can you add another concept maybe place, time period etc to add to your search?
C. Not Enough Results
Search may be too narrow. Consider taking one of the terms out or using a broader term instead.
One of the terms is spelled wrong.
One of the terms is causing a problem, take one out and put in a different word.
Review results, do you see a term that you hadn’t thought of? Redo search with that term in it.
D. Results Are Not Useful for My Paper.
Read the record to determine why it was pulled up in the search and change terms if necessary.
