ICPSR (Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research) is an "international consortium of more than 750 academic institutions and research organizations".  ICPSR provides access to social science data sets, including 16 specialized collections of data in education, aging, criminal justice, substance abuse, terrorism, and other fields. *A free ICPSR account is required to download data*. The account must be created and accessed every 6 months from on-campus or through the proxied link above. Some datasets are restricted access. If you have questions about accessing restricted data, contact a librarian.
