Google Scholar can be very helpful in two different ways:
(1) Use Google Scholar when you have the full citation information and you're trying to find the full text of the cited source.
(2) Use Google Scholar's "Cited by" feature to identify scholarly works that cite the source you already have. Below are the steps for using Google Scholar to locate the full text of articles and to find other works that cite the source you already have.
Step 1: Access Google Scholar via the MU Database lists or use this link Google Scholar
Step 2: Enter the title of the article you are looking for in quotation marks
If the title is very long or contains a lot of punctuation, you can search using only the first few words of the title. Example: Sleeping with the Enemy: Wikipedia in the College Classroom. Just search for "sleeping with the enemy Wikipedia"
Step 3: Navigate to the full text by following the links on the right hand side that will redirect you to the MU databases
Step 4: Review the other articles in your results that may benefit your research
Step 5: Use the "Cited by" link to find sources that cited this article
