Deciding Which Resource to Use

How do you know where to begin looking for important information? Consider asking yourself these questions before typing in a search box:

a. What information do I need to solve my information need(s)?

b. Who collects or publishes this information?

c. Do I need recent data or historic (older) information?

d. How do I know the information is accurate/correct/unbiased?

e. Where can I find this information?

f. What steps should I take so I can find this information at a later date?
