FIN301: A course in the Framework for Information Literacy Curriculum Map

Marymount University supports the Association of College and Research Libraries' Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education.

The following BBA courses are included in this curriculum map:

FIN301: Students will recognize what information is available in different business disciplines (in other words, a review of financial databases and Bloomberg). Students will explain the steps needed for financial analysis and its dissemination.

The definition of information literacy:

Information literacy is the set of integrated abilities encompassing the reflective discovery of information, the understanding of how information is produced and valued, and the use of information in creating new knowledge and participating ethically in communities of learning.
