International Students Library Guide: Finding Sources

Finding Sources in MU's Library

The library is your go-to spot for finding resources for your class assignments.  If you're having trouble finding what you're looking for, a friendly librarian is available to help you figure it out!

Check out some of the library tutorials, videos and resource guides to learn more about using library resources.

Finding Books

MULibrary Search is your first stop for finding books and ebooks at MU.  If we don't have the book you're looking for, one our our WRLC partner schools may.  Find out how to search for and request a book in the video below.  Still having trouble?  Ask at the reference or circulation desks.  We're always happy to help!

Finding Articles

You may be asked to find articles for a class.  These may be articles from a scholarly or academic source, magazines, or newspaper articles.  You have access to all of these at the library!

You can search for articles in MULibrary Search and library databases.

Use the Journal Finder to search for a journal title to see if the MU Library has subscription access.

The video below is very detailed, but it does a good job of explaining what a scholarly article is.
