Trade journals often write about the target market of brands. You will have to search for these articles in the MU databases. See details below.
MU has access to the online version of this trade publication and the archive is searchable in the Business Source Complete Database. The database has a much better interface than the online version of the journal and will be your best bet for researching your target market.
Steps for searching for WWD (Women's Wear Daily) articles in the databases:
1. To search just within WWD click on the 'Publications' tab at the top of the screen and search for WWD.
2. Then select 'Search within this publication' to only search for articles published in WWD.
3. Finally enter your search terms i.e you brand name and the term "target market" OR consumer. Remember to limit the 'Publication Date' to the last few years to get the most relevant information. Be patient and remember to switch your search terms to get more relevant information.
